Halong bay on Paloma Cruise 2days 1night

The Halong bay on Paloma Cruise 2days 1night

The area immediately northeast of Halong Bay is known as Bai Tu Long Bay and is the focus of our special itinerary. Hundreds of islets rising from the clear waters, long sandy beaches beckon, grottoes and lagoons entice the visitor – an area relatively underdeveloped and unpolluted by the tourist trade.

First day

7.45 – 8.15   You are collected from your hotel and begin the three hour drive through the lush scenery of the farmlands surrounding the Red River Delta

12.30   Arrive at Paloma office, Halong City. Following your transfer, step on board and following the cruise briefing your boat will embark on its journey into Halong bay

13.15 – 14.30  Time for your first meal on board, sure to set precedent for the delicious culinary experiences in store for you during your stay.

15.00  The cruise wanders leisurely through the labyrinth of limestone karts on its way to Bai Tu Long bay. Grab a comfortable chair, either on the sundeck, numerous terraces, or your private balcony, and try to spot some of the more notable formations, such as the 'Monster Head' and 'Teapot' islets.

Visit the fishing village of Vung Vieng in a traditional bamboo boat, marvel at the simple ingenuity of the floating constructs as you are rowed through the Venice of Halong bay.  The rest of the afternoon is to be spent at your leisure, whether you prefer to swim in the emerald waters, pamper yourself with a traditional massage, or lounge on the sundeck.

17.00   Stop for overnight anchorage in the Hang Trong area. Celebrate the sunset with Happy Hour at the cruise bar

18:30   Learn more about the secrets behind Vietnamese cooking at the Vietnamese cooking demonstration

19.15   Enjoy a culinary tapestry of international and Vietnamese flavors at the sumptuous set dinner served in the dining room

21:00   The boat anchors in a tranquil area and a range of evening activities are open to your preference; night squid fishing with the crew, a little light dancing (book in advance with your tour guide), film, board games, playing cards, after dinner massage (to compliment the after lunch massage of course) or a spot of moon bathing as you appreciate the night scape.

Overnight on board Paloma Cruise

Second day

06.15 With an instruction in Tai Chi on the sundeck at dawn's first light, you will feel the influence of the surrounding nature on your spirit and mind, and fit your body into the rhythms of the day. Tea and coffee are available if a little extra rejuvenation is needed

07.00  Enjoy breakfast and the peaceful ambience of morning in Halong bay

08.15  Visit Sung Sot 'Amazing' Cave, and allow it to live up to its name as you wander through vast caverns walled with cascades of glittering rock and dripping with stalactites.

10.00  Spend some time to check out of your cabin and arrange your luggage to be collected for transfer to the mainland

10.30  Savor the flavours of your last meal onboard. Settle any outstanding bills and then appreciate the last of Halong bay's scenery as the ship approaches the pier.

11.30-12.00  Arrival at the pier marks the conclusion of your cruise. Relax at the Paloma office and then await your transfer back to Han
oi

16.00-16.30  Drop off at your hotel and the end of your trip to Halong bay.
